Infants Program

Parent partnerships begin in our Infants rooms, where our dedicated caregivers partner with mom and dad to create an individualized care plan for each child. At Excellent Start Learning Center, every aspect of your baby’s care, from feeding schedules to sleep routines, is based on the parents’ preferences, in an effort to make our program the “home away from home” that your babies need!

Families enrolled in our Infants program can enjoy the following benefits:

  • A secure, nurturing, and age-appropriate environment. In addition to being spotless and secure, our Infant classrooms are carefully designed to be aesthetically pleasing and “homey” – we want your child to immediately feel comfortable in his surroundings. The playful atmosphere is enhanced by warm, gentle colors, mobiles, music, and tactile toys; there are also plenty of “interactive” spaces, where baby can giggle at her reflection in the mirror or snuggle with a caregiver. Our classrooms are designed to care for no more than 6 babies, with a child to staff ratio of 3:1.
  • Consistent, responsive caregiving. Our staff truly considers caring for each infant to be a privilege and has great respect for the parent partnership. Our experienced, well-qualified caregivers work hard to develop an individualized routine that works well for each child, to respond promptly to the babies’ changing needs, and to keep parents informed every step of the way! Daily written reports accurately summarize all feedings, diaper changes, rest periods, and activity interests; parents are also encouraged to call daily and visit regularly.
  • Individual attention and developmentally appropriate activities. We understand that early care and education go hand-in-hand, so smiles, songs, and snuggles are considered to be just as important as diaper changes and feedings! As our Infants grow, they are introduced to varied activities and materials that support their physical, social, and cognitive growth. Our professionally designed curriculum provides the staff with countless resources, so you’ll find the babies happily engaged in daily music and movement, art experiences, and lots of good books!

This program is suitable for infants between the ages of 6 weeks – 17 months old. To enroll your child, please proceed to our Enrollment page. For other concerns and inquiries, call us at 410-655-8888 (Windsor Mill) for assistance.
